Born February 24, 1929 in the Town of New Bremen, NY, a son of Jean and Veronica Roch Terrillion, he was a 1946 graduate of Fr. Leo Memorial High School in Croghan.

A Korean War veteran, he entered the US Air Force on May 6, 1949 and served as an aircraft flight mechanic and crew chief throughout Japan and Korea.  A recipient of the Korean Service Medal and 2 bronze stars, he was honorably discharged as an Airman First Class on December 11, 1952.

He married Joyce M. Petrie on December 27, 1952 at St. Peter’s Church in Lowville with the Rev. Msgr. John Cotter, officiating.

Following his marriage, he resided on Shady Ave. in Croghan where he went to work for Duflo Chevrolet.

In 1955, along with his family, he moved to Massena where he went to work as a carpenter on the St. Lawrence Seaway project building the massive forms for the seaway’s locks and power house.  He accepted a position in 1959 at Reynolds Metals in Massena as a carpenter-millwright in the automotive division, where, among other tasks, he performed jobs which required special welding. For three years after leaving Reynolds in 1968, he worked as a free-lance general carpenter in addition to purchasing and operating Hall’s General Store in Raymondville for a number of years. During the 1970’s, he worked at various paper mills throughout the north country tearing down machinery and eventually went to work for General Motors in Massena as a millwright in their auto shop from where he retired in 1988.

For many years after his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed wintering in Ocala, FL, and moved to his residence in Lowville in 2011.

Throughout his life, he enjoyed many activities and especially liked to fish and hunt, outings and traveling on his snowmobile, and particularly car restoration.

He was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church in Lowville, was a member of the Lowville VFW, Lowville American Legion, and Carpenter’s and Millwright Union based in Watertown, and was a former member of the Canton American Legion.
