Vero Beach, FL ~ William Everett Conboy, age 94, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Whitesboro, NY, died unexpectedly on April 27, 2026 at his home.
William was born on July 21, 1931 in Utica, NY, the son of Everett and Alice Dacey Conboy and was graduated from New Hartford High School.
He married Joy Marley, a blessed union of over 69 years. Mrs. Conboy died in 2020.
A Korean War veteran, Bill entered the US Marines and served as a proud Marine until being honorably discharged.
He retired after 25 years as a supervisor with the New York Thruway prior to moving to Vero Beach, Fl.
Survivors include his son Lawrence Conboy (Kandy), daughter Sharon Carissimo, many grandchildren, and multiples nieces and nephews.
William was predeceased by his parents, loving wife Joy Conboy, who died in 2020, his son William Conboy, his granddaughter, Brook Carissimo, and sister, Margaret C. Scanlon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 10:00 AM.
His interment with military honors will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, in Cape Canaveral.
