Trent Shaw Obituary
CROGHAN, NY ~ Trent C. Shaw, 40, son and step-son of Mona and Kevin Peebles, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 of a suspected opiate overdose.
Surviving Trent are his son, Timothy Rheaume of Barnes Corners; his mother and step-father, Mona and Kevin Peebles of Castorland; two step-brothers, Jason Peebles and companion Bridget Hoopert, and Justin Peebles and wife Andrea, of Brantingham, NY; step-sister, Alexis Peebles of Watson; his maternal grandmother, Alyce Yousey of Lowville; by two uncles, James Yousey of Croghan and John Yousey of Anchorage, AK; an aunt, Lola Yousey and Karen of Gainesville, FL. Trent was also survived several cousins and many wonderful friends.
A special Uncle, Jesse Yousey, paternal grandparents, Ralph and Marian Shaw, and maternal grandfather, James Yousey, predeceased him.
Trent was born, March 2, 1977 in Carthage, NY. He graduated from high school and attended JCC.
Trent was a pipefitter by trade. He enjoyed four wheelers, especially Banshee’s, dirt bikes, hunting and fishing, and had a knack for fixing things.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Scanlon Funeral Home in Croghan, with Rev. Bruce W. Chapman officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday as well from 11:00am until the time of the service.
Contributions in Trent’s memory may be made to Mona Peebles to establish a college fund for Timothy, c/o Mona Peebles, 5481 State Route 410; Castorland, NY 13620.
