Thomas LaDuc Obituary

Thomas Michael LaDuc, 46, of Harrisville died March 14, 2024, at Albany Medical Center from complications of Ulcerative colitis at the age of 46.  Born at Carthage Area Hospital on July 13, 1977, to John and Margo (Wade) LaDuc, Harrisville, NY.   He graduated from Jack and Jill nursery school in 1984 and from Harrisville Central School in 1995 with a Regents diploma. Tom attended several colleges, Oswego, JCC, Canton ATC, and especially enjoyed the social activities.   Tom enlisted in the U.S Army and served two years with the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, in the Corp of Engineers.  On June 19, 2004, he married Chantelle Peabody, and they had a daughter, JonDae` Markie LaDuc, (his monster) born on May 1, 2007.  The marriage ended in divorce in 2011.  His love for his daughter was unending, and he raised her to be a strong, independent and adventuresome young woman.   She helped him work on vehicles, home renovations, and enjoyed attending concerts, kayaking, camping, fishing, skiing and going to movies.   Thomas married Misty Reynolds, July 3, 2017, Tom and Misty had a son, Thomas James LaDuc, born on June 24, 2016.  Tom and his son shared a love of adventure movies, legos, soccer, video games, snuggling and reading.   Tom worked at Fabco several years before going to DC Construction, Watertown, where he worked a number of years prior to becoming ill this past August.  Thomas was a loving and active parent, he was very family oriented, and had a loving family network, especially his lifelong best friend and cousin Erin (LaDuc) Miller.  Thomas was known for his exquisite dishes at family reunions.  He had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a hand whenever family or friends needed it.  His family and friends will miss Thomas; he was loved and will leave a void that cannot be filled.   He is also survived by his parents, John Francis and Margo Wade LaDuc, his brother John Wade LaDuc, and sister-in-law Lara, nephews Cale, Connor and Caden LaDuc, Sackets Harbor, NY, stepdaughters Adriana and Martina Whitmarsh, Tessa Anson, Hannah Pitcher and stepson Trevor Rice, along with Aunts, Uncles and cousins.   Love you, rest in peace. There will not be services per Tom’s wishes; instead, there will a “Memory Party” for family and friends at 2 pm on April 7, 2024, at “The Station” by Trackside Tavern, Harrisville, NY.  In lieu of flowers, a scholarship in Thomas’s name will be established for students from Harrisville Central School going on to a trade school or college in the building trades.
