Theodore Collette Obituary

HARRISVILLE, NY ~ Theodore “Ted” Peter Collette, 83, of 13521 Middle Branch Rd., Harrisville, died in the comfort of his home where he was under the care of his family and Lewis County Hospice, on Saturday, February 16, 2019, from end stage renal disease.

Born September 11, 1935 in Watertown, NY, a son of Levi and Aria (Collins) Collette, he was educated in Harrisville schools.

He married Hila Miller in August, 1955 in Watertown, NY. 

A veteran, he entered the US Navy in 1954 and served until being honorably discharged in 1958.

For much of his life, he worked as a millwright for the Newton Falls Paper Company in Newton Falls.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by two daughters, Darcy Bowen, of Harrisville, and Barbara Collette, of Phoenix, NY; four grandchildren, Stacey Bowen, Barbara Reynolds, David Bowen and Justin Stewart; five great grandchildren, Vanessa, Austin, Matthew, Jayla and Jordan; two brothers, Murray Collette, Harrisville, David Collette, Alabama; two sisters, Dolores McIntosh, Harrisville, and Nancy Heath, Pennsylvania, and many loving and caring nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by twin brothers, Donald and Douglas Collette, and a sister, Lorraine.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral or calling hours.
