LOWVILLE, NY ~ Terry L. Lee, 59, of 8551 Number Four Rd., Lowville, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Utica, NY, where he had been a patient since December 16th.
Born July 7, 1955, in Lowville, NY, a son of Raymond B. “Tiger” and Eleanor E. Nye Lee, he was a graduate of Lowville Academy.
Following high school, Terry went to work with his father and brothers assisting with the operation of Lee & Sons Lumber Company in Lowville. He worked for many years throughout the North Country working on jobs that included constructing large buildings, building barns and new home construction. In 2002, he assumed ownership of his family’s business and ran its operation until he retired and sold the business in 2011 due to declining health.
Terry was a “jack of all trades” when it came to construction and took great pleasure in designing and building his own home that included ponds which he always kept stocked for the satisfaction he derived from children being able to go fishing in them, and he was always so appreciative for the help of his many friends who so kindly assisted him through all of his property’s completion.
When Terry wasn’t building something, he also enjoyed other pastimes including fishing and trapping, watching war movies, and especially liked visiting with his many friends at “Rusty’s”.
He was a member of Lowville Elks Lodge 1605.
Surviving are four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Harland and Patricia Lee, of Lowville, Donald and Ann Lee, of Croghan, Loren Lee, of Lowville, Bernard and Lory Lee, of Beaver Falls; a sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Richard Crouse, of Lowville; numerous nieces and nephews, and very special friends, The Dave Woerner, Don Morin and David DiRocco families.
