LOWVILLE, NY ~ Robert J. Einbeck, 64, of 6947 Erie Canal Rd., Lowville, died August 4, 2015 at Upstate Medical Ctr., Syracuse, NY.

Born in Lowville, NY on December 16, 1950, a son of John H. and Vera Dekin Einbeck, he was educated at Beaver River Central School.

A marriage to Karen Lehman in 1998 ended in divorce.

A veteran, he entered the US Marine Corps on December 29, 1967 in Richmond, VA, and served as a mechanic with the Marine Corps Air Squadron, and was honorably discharged as a PFC on December 24, 1970 from San Francisco, CA.

In 1973, Bob’s primary working career as a Refiner Man with the J.P. Lewis Company in Beaver Falls.  As the mill changed ownership to Boise Cascade and later Interface Solutions, he also worked as a Process Engineer and Shift Supervisor there until leaving in 2003.  From 2003 until 2005, he worked as a mechanic for Nirvana in Forestport, and later as a Sales Associate at Walmart in Lowville.  He worked for the Newton Falls Paper Company in Newton Falls from 2005 until becoming disabled in 2006.

Bob was a born again Christian and was a member of the Abundant Life Community Church in Lowville.

He enjoyed many pastimes including gardening, cooking, wood cutting, furniture restoration, reading and especially playing guitar.

Survivors include his son, Zachary Einbeck, Lowville; two step-sons, Jeffrey Lehman, Warrensburg, NY, and Jared Lehman, Lowville; and two daughters, Nina Einbeck, San Diego, CA, and Angela Einbeck, NY; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, John “Charlie” Einbeck, Watertown, and Lonnie Einbeck, Canandaigua, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Kathy Kerfien, and a brother, Randy Einbeck.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Scanlon Funeral Home, Croghan, with Dan Tabolt, Pastor of Abundant Life Fellowship in Boonville, officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in Riverside Annex Cemetery, Beaver Falls.

A calling hour will be held prior to the service on Thursday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
