Regina Ostrowski Obituary

LOWVILLE, NY ~ Regina M. Ostrowski, 85, formerly of State Rt. 812, Town of New Bremen, died Monday, October 29, 2018 in the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility, Lowville, where she had resided since March, 2017.

Born August 21, 1933, a daughter of Harold and Mary (Hellinger) Campany, she was a graduate of Lowville Academy.

She married Francis W. Ostrowski on May 10, 1952 in the former St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Castorland.  Mr. Ostrowski, her loving husband of 56 years, died on May 20, 2008.

For much of her life Regina was a homemaker taking care of her children.

Mrs. Ostrowski was a long-time communicant of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Croghan.

Throughout her life she enjoyed boating, traveling, camping, homemaking, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Regina will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are her four children, Judy A. and husband, John Munger, of Castorland, Linda M. and husband, Joseph Davies, of Fairview, TX, Paul F. Ostrowski, of Chester, VT, and Philip J. and wife, Doris Ostrowski, of Sheridan, WY; nine grandchildren, Jodie (Shawn) Tiernan, Jolene Munger, Joanna Habermann, Justin Munger, Samantha (Miguel) Franco, Stephen (Katie) Davies, Stephanie (Bryan) Schroter, Raechel (Logan) Geiss and Luke Ostrowski, and six great grandchildren plus one on the way; two sisters, Pauline E. Murphy, of Croghan, and Joyce M. Kloster, of Rochester, NY; three brothers, Harold W. (Rose) Campany, of Carthage, Donald J. Campany, of Castorland, and Norman F. (Wanda) Campany, of Monroe, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Ostrowski.

Regina’s funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018, beginning with a 9:45 a.m. Prayer Service at Scanlon Funeral Home, Croghan, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from St. Stephen’s Church, Croghan, with the Rev. Donald J. Manfred, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Croghan.
