Phyllis Matuszak Obituary
CASTORLAND, NY ~ Phyllis M. Matuszak, 81, formerly of Castorland, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in The Pines at Utica, Utica, NY, where she had resided.
Born on June 30, 1931, in Denmark, NY, the daughter of Lloyd and Elizabeth Valin Johnson, she was a 1950 graduate of Beaver Falls High School, and a 1951 graduate of Watertown School of Commerce.
She married Louis Matuszak on April 3, 1952, at St. Peter’s Church, Lowville.
In her earlier years, she had worked as a secretary and at various other jobs in the North Country.
She is survived by two children; her son, John Matuszak, of Ithaca, and her daughter, Gail McEligot, of Utica; 3 grandchildren and a great grandson, a brother and sister-in-law, Stuart and Donna Johnson, of Beaver Falls, and a nephew.
A graveside committal service will be held at the convenience of the family in Riverside Annex Cemetery, Beaver Falls.
