HARRISVILLE, NY ~ Louise A. Hooley, 73, of 7471 State Rt. 3, Harrisville, died Friday, July 8, 2016, on her birthday, at SUNY Upstate Medical Ctr., Syracuse, NY.
Born on July 8, 1943 in Lowville, NY, a daughter of Milton and Pauline Schwendy Bush, she was educated at Fr. Leo Memorial School in Croghan.
She married Neil E. Hooley on October 13, 1979 in Croghan.
Louise went to work for Beaverite Products, Inc. in Beaver Falls in 1964 and worked for 43 years before retiring as a Machine Operator in 2007.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed time spent flower gardening, barbequing chicken for family and friends, 4-wheeling and snowmobiling, particularly during ice-fishing events, and also had a great fondness for dogs and cats, especially her dogs Benji and Jake.
Surviving besides her husband, Neil, are four step children, Neil E. (Tammy) Hooley, Jr., of Balmat, Portlyn (Thomas) Macagg, Eugene R. (Carrie) Hooley, and Michael J. Hooley, all of Harrisville; ten step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren; two brothers, Francis (Patricia) Bush of Deer River, and Bernard and Eleanor Bush, of Croghan; a sister, Eleanor Kirch of Watertown, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral services at this time.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Stroke Association.
