Obituary
HARRISVILLE, NY ~ Joshua D. Mantle, 33, of Maple St., Harrisville, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at his residence.
Born December 4, 1988 in Galveston, TX, the son of Carolyn D. Mantle, he was educated in BOCES in Watertown and Gouverneur, NY.
Joshua was a very personable young man who will be remembered for enjoying life. He also took pleasure in listening to rap music, bike riding, going to garage sales and loved trains of all kinds.
He attended the Christian Life Center in Pitcairn.
Surviving are his mother, of Watertown, NY; his maternal grandmother, Leta Mantle, of Harrisville; his Uncle Wayne Mantle, of Albany, NY, and a step-father, Tharron Ferguson, of Philadelphia, PA.
Joshua’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Scanlon Funeral Home, 14187 State St., Harrisville, with Terry Aikens, Pastor of Pitcairn Christain Life Center, officiating. A graveside committal service will follow in Garrison Cemetery in the Town of Pitcairn.
A calling hour will be from 10:00 a.m. until his 11:00 a.m. service begins.
Joshua’s family would like to especially thank the New York State Police and Lewis County Sheriff’s Department for their respective compassion shown to Joshua on a number of occasions.
