John (Bob) Carroll was born to the late Emmett and Gertrude (Sliney) Carroll in Detroit, Michigan.
He was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Phyllis (La Duc) Carroll who died in June 1976.
John is survived by his daughters Kimberly (Carroll) Farr, Janell (Carroll) Brown, his son-in-law Greg Brown, granddaughter Monica Brown, his sister Joan (Carroll) Zimmer, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
John met Phyllis while he was stationed at Fort Drum. He always loved the North Country and eventually bought a hunting camp that became the place of many happy memories for the Carroll and LaDuc families.
John was a sportsman who loved hunting, fishing and boating. He also enjoyed his sports cars! John traveled extensively in his life, working and living overseas, in Canada and in many states. He had stories and adventures everywhere he went.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for John on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Solanus Church, Harrisville, NY with the Rev. Donald J. Manfred, Pastor, officiating.
John will be laid to rest immediately following his funeral Mass next to his beloved wife, Phyllis, in St. Francis Solanus Cemetery in Harrisville, with military honors.
