CROGHAN, NY ~ Jill E. Boliver, 59, of 11239 State Rt. 812, Croghan, died peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.
Born September 10, 1955, a daughter of Eldred F. “Nick” and Lorna L. Taylor Lehman, she was a 1973 graduate of Beaver River Central School. She later received her BS degree in Business Administration from Empire State College, and her Master’s Degree in Social Policy, also from Empire State College.
She was married to Kevin J. Boliver on October 11, 1975 at St. Anthony’s Church in Indian River. The marriage ended in divorce.
She began her professional career in 1981 with Pajco in Lowville, NY as a Programmer Analyst. She was promoted to Manager of Informations Systems in 1988, Controller until 1991, and was their Division Director of Management Informations Systems from 1996 through 1998.
From 1998 through 2003, she was employed with Systems Conversion Ltd. Of Cartersville, Georgia in various positions including as their Vice President of Services, until she accepted a position as Project Manager for Eagle-Picher Automotive of Inkster, MI.
In 2007, she became the Vice President of Administration for Climax Manufacturing Company. She was in charge of their Information Technology Department, and was a member of the company’s Executive Management team and operations until the time of her death.
Jill was a communicant of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Croghan.
She took great pleasure in providing volunteer work as support for the Lewis County Domestic Abuse and Rape Crisis hot line, assisting in fund raising for a church-related group dedicated to assisting people in need, as a Child Advocate for high school drop outs, as a team member of Relay for Life, and serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Maple Museum in Croghan. She also enjoyed traveling to “anywhere warm” and going to camp at Soft Maple. Of her greatest joys and special moments, were the times spent with her children and grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
Surviving are her life partner, Ron L. Anders, of Croghan; her father, Eldred F. “Nick” Lehman, of Croghan; her four children and their spouses, Michael J. and Cheri Boliver, Brian J. and Raylene Boliver, David A. and Valley Boliver, and Renee B. and Jeff Walseman, all of Croghan; ten grandchildren, Courtney Boliver, Makenna Boliver, Jacob Boliver, Ashlyn Boliver, Kaelyn Boliver, Timothy Boliver, Tina Boliver, Kara Boliver, Kaina Boliver and Braelyn Walseman; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Bruce E. Lehman, of Lowville, and Mark A. and Bonnie Lehman, of Croghan; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sheryl A. and Carl Palmer, of Aptos, CA, and Debra J. and Jeff Peters, of Croghan; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her mother, Lorna L. Lehman, who died in 2013, her granddaughter, Adryan Marie Boliver, and two nephews, Scott F. and Aaron J. Lehman.
Jill’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th, beginning with a 9:45 a.m. Prayer Service at Scanlon Funeral Home, Croghan, followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass from St. Stephen’s Church, Croghan, with the Rev. Daniel L. Chapin, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Croghan.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, December 16th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
