CROGHAN, NY ~ Jason "Jake" C. Roch, 31, of 10835 NYS Rt. 812, Croghan, died Thursday, September 6, 2012, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Carthage.
Born November 1, 1980, in Watertown, NY, the son of Roger K. and Patricia A. Gore Roch, he was a 1998 graduate of Beaver River Central School.
He married Karrie J. Parker on June 2, 2012, at Maple Ridge in Lowville.
Since graduating from high school, he had worked at various times for Monnat & Nortz Mobil and Croghan Meat Market, both in Croghan, the Village of Croghan, Lowville Trucking and Slack Chemical, Carthage. Throughout this time, he also especially enjoyed working with his father and “Uncle Reggie” with Roch Construction & Masonary, Croghan, and at the time of his death owned and operated Roch Trucking & Excavating in Croghan.
Surviving besides his loving wife are his father and mother, Roger K. and Patricia Roch, Croghan; his sister and brother-in-law, Jennie L. and Craig Campbell, Lockport; his father and mother-in-law, Gary L. and Gale M. Parker, Copenhagen; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Sarah Parker, Jr., Copenhagen; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and John Renodin, Pittsburg, PA, and Jill and Jay Micek, Copenhagen; aunts and uncles, Jeanette and Martin Brown, Tupper Lake, Bill and Donna Gore, Mary Esther, FL, Robert and Tammy Gore, Gouverneur, and Larry and Lorraine McIntosh, Cleveland, MS; nieces and nephews,Bethany and Johnny Renodin, Pittsburg, PA, Derek and Courtney Micek, Copenhagen, and Gavin, Chloe and Paityn Parker, Copenhagen, and his very special friends, Josh Shaw and Justin Terrillion, both of Croghan, and Rob Hoffman, Carthage.
He was predeceased by his uncle Reggie Roch, who died on Nov. 29, 2006.
Throughout his young life, Jason liked hunting and fishing, riding his Harley Davidson, and especially spending time with his family and friends.
Jason’s funeral will be on Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Fellowship Church, Beaver Falls, with George Gray, Pastor of River of Life Fellowship Church in Copenhagen, officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery, Belfort.
Calling hours will be from 1 – 3 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday at Scanlon Funeral Home, Croghan.
