Janice M. (Schantz) Stahlin

SYRACUSE, NY/LOWVILLE, NY ~ Janice M Stahlin, 88, of North Syracuse, died peacefully April 19, 2018 at her home.

Born in Lowville, NY, a twin daughter of A. Arthur and Esther Zehr Schantz, she was graduated from Lowville Academy and later from Rider College in Trenton, NJ.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, James P. and Pamela Stahlin, of Orlando, FL, Barry A. Stahlin, of N. Syracuse, NY; a son-in-law, Kenneth Kelly, of Denver, CO; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a brother, Warren A. Schantz, of Lowville, NY.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Lynn M. Kelly, who died on April 10, 2012, her twin sister, Janet R. Schantz, who died on August 23,1987, and her brother, Clair R. Schantz, who died on December 29, 2000.

Funeral Services will be private for family and close friends and will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Scanlon Funeral Home, Croghan.  The immediate family will receive other family members and close friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 Noon until the time of the 1:00 p.m. service.   

Janice will be laid to rest in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in Croghan, NY, following her service.
