Gary Dosztan, 73, of Shady Ave; Lowville died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Lewis County General Hospital after being stricken at home.
Gary was born September 22, 1945 in Lowville, the son of the late Andrew and Jean (Carson) Dosztan. He attended Lowville Academy prior to enlisting in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, Gary returned home and began working for the New York State DOT, retiring in 2006. Gary has enjoyed many years of marriage to his beloved wife, Patricia (Jones) Dosztan.
Gary enjoyed doing yard work and dancing, he was a member of the Lowville Elks Club and the Lowville American Legion and was an avid Yankees and Giants fan. Gary is survived by his wife, Patricia of Lowville; his children, Kelli Dosztan-Corcoran of Ct; Jennifer Kennedy of Lowville; Dawn Kennedy of Lowville; Sherri (Michael) LaPlante of Newton Falls; John Kenney of Lowville; Russell (Peggy Smith) Kennedy of Lowville and many grand and great-grandchildren.
Gary was predeceased by a son, Scott Dosztan.
