GREIG, NY ~ Erin Marie Buckingham, 33, of Greig Rd., Town of Greig, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 24, 2013.
Born September 17, 1979, in Lowville, NY, a daughter of James J. and Teresa L. Buell Buckingham, she was a 1998 graduate of Beaver River Central School.
Erin was a mother and homemaker.
Throughout her young life, she enjoyed doing anything outdoors with family and friends, especially fishing and hunting with her father. She was a talented landscaper, had a knack for gardening, and liked to go kayaking.
Surviving are three children, Derek J. Burke, Harley M. and Emily G. Peck; her mother, Teresa L. Buckingham, of Brownville; her father and stepmother, James J. and Patricia Buckingham, of Croghan; her sister, Amber L. and (husband) Alex Susice, and their children (nephews), Nicholas and Kyle Susice, of Castorland; her brother, Jacob J. Buckingham and fiancée, Jessica Arnold, of Blossvale; maternal grandparents, Frank and Carolyn Buell, of New Bremen; her companion, Pat Plemmons, of Greig, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Martha Buckingham, her uncle, David Buckingham, and her aunt, Victoria Buell.
A Memorial Service will be held for Erin on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Scanlon Funeral Home, Croghan, with the Rev. Daniel L. Chapin, Pastor, St. Stephen’s Church, Croghan, officiating. Interment will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Croghan.
