Erica Stewart Obituary
HARRISVILLE, NY ~ Erica Lynn Stewart, 29, of 8212 Main St., Harrisville, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 17, 2014, at her residence.
Erica was born on June 18, 1985, in Gouverneur, NY, the daughter of Stanley Stewart, Sr. and Darlene C. Cole, and was a 2003 graduate of Clifton-Fine Central School in Star Lake.
Following high school, she initially moved to Ft. Myers, Florida where she worked for Petco and Petsmart, both pet supply companies. She later moved to Ocala, FL where she worked in retail customer service and was a customer sales clerk for Bealls Department Store.
Since being disabled from injuries received in a 2008 motor vehicle accident in Florida, she resided with her mother and step-father in Fine, and later in Star Lake and Pitcairn, until most recently in Harrisville.
Her favorite pastimes included fishing, arts and crafts, particularly putting together photo albums, and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Darlene C. Cole and John McCue, of Fine, her brother, Stanley Stewart, Jr., of Star Lake, her maternal grandfather, Harold Cole, of Oswegatchie, two aunts, Darcy Cole, of Carthage, and Rita Cole, of Oswegatchie, and her loving significant other, Kevin Berckley, of Harrisville.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Beverly Cole, her paternal grandparents, and two uncles, Larry and Ricky Cole.
A Graveside Committal Service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the Hermon Cemetery, Hermon, NY.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lewis County Humane Society.
