BEAVER FALLS, NY ~ Elizabeth Delphina “Betty” Spagnolli, 88, of Maple St., Beaver Falls, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Lewis County General Hospital where she had been a patient since November 8th.

Born September 21, 1925, in Croghan, NY, the daughter of Antonio “Tony” and Josephine Forni Spagnolli, she was a 1943 graduate of Beaver Falls High School in Beaver Falls.

Following high school, she went to work for Beaverite Products, Inc., in Beaver Falls, where she began her career as a machine operator.  She later became a secretary, and retired in 1990 after 47 years of service, as the Executive Secretary for the company’s Sales Department.  

Miss Spagnolli was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church in Beaver Falls, and was a former member of the Beaver Falls United Methodist Women.  She was also a former member of the Beaver River Memorial Post 1663 American Legion Auxiliary in Croghan.

Throughout her life, she was an avid reader and dedicated NY Yankees fan, and also especially enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Surviving are five nieces and their husbands, Mary Jo and William Burkhard, Beaver Falls, Lori and Michael Wiley, Cape Vincent, Tina and William Campeau, Croghan, Jane and Veryle Lyndaker, Croghan, Tonya and Timothy Roach, Round Hill, VA; a nephew and his wife, Scott and Suzanne Spagnolli, South Lake, TX; her sister-in-law, Muriel Spagnolli, Binghamton, NY; seventeen great nieces and nephews, and eight great-great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her two brothers, Dino Spagnolli, who died in 2010, Ermogine “Beany” Spagnolli, who died in 2012, her sister-in-law, Ann Spagnolli, who died in 2009, and her great nephew, Tyler Lyndaker, who died in 2012.

Family and friends are invited to attend Miss Spagnolli’s funeral service on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Beaver Falls, with the Rev. Linda J. Harris, Pastor, and the Rev. Bruce W. Chapman, retired United Methodist Minister, co-officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverside Annex Cemetery, Beaver Falls.

There will be no calling hours.
    
Memorial Donations may be made to the United Methodist Church in Beaver Falls or to the Beaver Falls Volunteer Fire Department.
