CROGHAN, NY ~ Cassandra A. Lashbrooks, 25, of 9768 Erie Canal Rd., Croghan died unexpectedly on Monday, November 14, 2016.
Born on November 26, 1990 in Carthage, NY, the daughter of Allen J. and Barbara A. Sheldon Lashbrooks, Jr., she was a 2008 graduate of Beaver Falls Central School. Following high school, she pursued an interest in and took classes in cosmetology.
She was an employee at Kraft Foods in Lowville for a short period, and later worked as an Adult Care Giver for The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, in Lowville.
Cassie cherished time spent with her children and “finding four-leaf clovers”. She loved all animals and enjoyed 4-wheeling and camping when she could. She will be forever remembered as an exceptionally kind-hearted person who was always willing to help anyone she could. She had been extremely close to her Gram and always believed that “Family is Forever”.
In addition to her parents of Croghan, she is survived by her two children, Tayden A. Lashbrooks and Damien A. Yousey; two sisters, Shannon Finley, of Natural Bridge, and Tatiana Roux, of Calcium; her paternal grandfather, Allen J. Lashbrooks, Sr., of Croghan; two nieces, Katie and Anastasia, and two nephews, Andrew and Kaison, and her special aunt and uncle, Catina and Loren Lyndaker, and beloved cousin, Alyssa Lyndaker, all of North Carolina.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Irene Lashbrooks, and maternal grandparents, Carl and Rose Sheldon.
Cassie’s funeral will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 beginning with a 10:15 a.m. Prayer Service at Scanlon Funeral Home, Croghan, followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass from St. Stephen’s Church, Croghan, with the Rev. Donald J. Manfred, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Croghan.
Calling hours will be on Friday, November 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
