Audrey Osborne Obituary
CROGHAN, NY ~ Audrey J. Osborne, 87, formerly of George St., Croghan, died peacefully on Monday, November 19, 2012, at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Boonville where she had resided since 2008.
Born on September 21, 1925, in Croghan, NY, a daughter of Clyde and Florence Briot Andre, she was a graduate of Fr. Leo Memorial School in Croghan and later attended the Watertown School of Commerce.
She married Sherrill A. Osborne on June 22, 1945, in St. Stephen’s Church, Croghan. Mr. Osborne died on July 11, 2008.
In her earlier years she worked for a short period of time at the Croghan Post Office, and afterwards as a mother and homemaker.
Audrey was a life-long communicant of St. Stephen’s Church in Croghan.
For many years she especially enjoyed traveling, snow skiing, playing golf and was an ardent Bingo player.
Surviving are her loving daughters, Karen E. Osborne, of Frankfort, Renée C. Osborne, of Glenwood, NM, and Francine M. (Fred) Abram, of Black River; three grandchildren, Tiffany Petzoldt, Mariah Abram, and Ryan Rauber; two great grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Robinette, of Draper, Utah, and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Audrey’s funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27th, at St. Stephen’s Church, Croghan, with the Rev. Daniel L. Chapin, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Croghan.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Salvation Army or to Catholic Charities.
