Armand Graves Obituary
HARRISVILLE, NY ~ Armand C. Graves, 69, of 151 NYS Hwy 3, Harrisville, died Friday, December 25, 2015 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.
Born June 14, 1946 in Gouverneur, NY, a son of Armand C. and Esther M. Fayette Graves , Sr., he was educated in Harrisville schools, and attended welding school in Rochester.
He married Kimberly A. (McCarty) Ward on June 26, 1999 in Harrisville.
Armand worked for the Viking Snow Plow Company in Harrisville for two years, then was a self-employed logger and welder for most of the rest of his working career, before retiring following a disability many years ago.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed running a Flea Market at his residence (commonly referred to as the “Armand Run Mall”), and particularly liked watching history movies, traveling to garage sales, fishing and Lake Bonaparte summer barbeques.
In addition to his wife, Kimberly, he is survived by four children, Linda F. Graves (Todd Lytle) and Joseph B. Graves (Kristy) all of Harrisville, Robin Lee Graves (Rebecca) and Rebecca Ross (Larry), all of Watertown; two step children, Gary Ward, of Fine, and Shana Brotherton (Daniel) of Newton Falls; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and a brother, Kenneth D. Graves, of Natural Bridge.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Robin Lee, and a sister, Holly Margaret, who both died in infancy.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Remembrance Service in tribute to his Armand's life on Sunday, January 3, 2016 beginning at 12 Noon at the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Department.
