Our sincere condolences to the Nortz family on the passing of Bernie. We have lost a very
special man, who was a true friend, neighbor, and fellow fireman/fire commissioner. It was a  true honor to know Bernie, and our visits on his porch in the summer. No matter the time of day or in bad weather Bernie was always there in time of need, and just a phone call away when I had a problem or concern. When Bernie needed a hand painting a house I was honored to answer his call, and say Sure Bernie I can assist you, and I did with no hesitation. In closing rest in peace Bernie we will take it from here, until we meet again.

Sending our deepest sympathies to LouAnn, Patti, Julie and all of the family. Bernie was a very special man in Beaver Falls. We lived just up the street for 29 years and I always remember his (and LouAnn’s) smile and wave as we walked by their house. They always had an extra chair on the porch for anyone who wanted to stop and visit for a while. It was never quite the same after they moved!  Sending our prayers and thoughts to each of you from Kentucky.

I wanted to express my heartfelt sympathy and prayers to all of Bernie's family.  He was a man of character and compassion, for sure!  He had a special aura about him and could lift your spirits without saying a word.  He is now receiving all the rewards of Heaven that he is so deserving of.

Whenever I saw Bernie, whether somewhere in town, at church, or at the funeral home he would always have that large smile to greet me with.
Be assured of my prayers for the Nortz Family.
May Bernie now rest in the Lord's peace and may his smile grow wider as he experiences God's eternal love.
Fr. Jim Vacco, O.F.M.
