Dear children of Barbara (and Francis),
For ten years, my parents rented a 2 camps on Brantingham Lake where their adult children and their small grandchildren could spend a week of swimming, kayaking and singing. Although we no longer go to Brantingham we still spend a week together, now with our own adult children. Francis and Barbara always welcomed us and shared the beauty of their lake and their laughter. Barbara continued her easy way and wonderful laugh even after her love died. It will be hard but I hope you can all do the same by continuing their easy way and heart felt laughter. You have special parents. And their memory keeps them forever among us.

Our prayer in thanksgiving for the gift Barbara was to all of us
Neil, Gene and Jackl Ver'Schneider

We give Barbara back to you, O Lord,
You who first gave her to us,
And as you did not lose her in the giving
So we do not lose her in the return!

Not as the world gives do you give, O Lord of Souls.
For what is yours is ours also,
if we belong to you.
Life is unending because love is undying,
And the boundaries of this mortal life are but an horizon,
And an horizon is but the limit of our sight.

Lift us up strong Son of God,
That we may see further.
Strengthen us in faith, that we may see beyond the horizon.
And while you prepare a place for us, as you have promised,
Prepare us also for that happy place, that where you are
we may be also, with those we have loved forever.

To all the Buckingham family...

15 years ago my husband, Rocky and I were looking for a contractor to build our house...We were told to look at your mom and dad's home in Brantingham...Up we went and knew instantly that we wanted whoever built their house to build ours...I got out of the car and started down the driveway to get a better look and my husband said "you can't do that"...well Barb came out and invited us in to look around...We were there for hours and she could not have been more gracious...Later we met Francis and he showed us his newest toy, his Roomba...He was so funny...I will never forget the kindest your parents showed both of us...They were certainly wonderful people...
