Born October 7, 1935 in Lowville, NY, the son of George and Clara (Main) Horvath, he was educated at Fr. Leo Memorial School in Croghan.

He married Clare R. Bush on December 9, 1961 at St. Anthony’s Church in Indian River.

Following high school, Dan worked on the Gerald Lehman farm, and in 1955, entered the US Army and was stationed at Ft. Throughout his life, Dan enjoyed summers spent at his camp on Lake Bonaparte, spending winters in Florida, and loved working at the “Horvath Sugar Bush” which he established in 1985, and was an avid hunter.

He was a communicate of St. Stephen’s Church, Croghan, was a Life member of the Carthage Elk’s, a member of the Bald Mountain Hunting Club, an honorary member of the Beaver River Fish & Game Club, and was a former member of the Carthage American Legion and Poplar Hill Club in Natural Bridge.

Clara, Cheryl and Carleton -

Thinking of all of you.

I'm so sorry to hear about Danny passing away. Lots and lots of memories of growing up with him. He was so kind to us when we were children, and lots of fun when we got older...Bald Mountain, Lake Bonaparte and just saying hello when passing by the business.
