CROGHAN, NY ~ George M. Geer, 63, of NYS Route 812, Croghan, died on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Upstate Medical Ctr, Syracuse, NY where he had been admitted on August 27, 2023 from Lewis County General hospital in Lowville.
Born on August 13, 1960 in Gouverneur, NY, a son of Myrtle Geer, he was educated in Harrisville schools.
Prior to living in Croghan, he had lived in Lowville and Harrisville.
He was married to Joyce Crouse of Lowville, who has since died.
One of George’s favorite pastimes was 4-wheeling.
He is survived by his Aunt, Frances A. LayBoult, of Harrisville, NY and two cousins, George LayBoult, of Harrisville and Tina Wood, of Evans Mills.
A graveside committal service for George will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. in Garrison Cemetery, Pitcairn, with Philip Hathway, officiating.
