I only spoke to Brother Scanlon once on the phone about 10 or 11 years ago.

My son, Jonathan, a friend of Kirk’s, was visting from Brooklyn.

I think we talked about an alternator on an old car or truck; that’s my trade.

I could tell that “Pete” was a good person.

I look forward to meeting him in person, soon.

I will always remember how he could make me laugh and how he “protected” me at a District Convention in Syracuse.

We appreciate the fine example Brother Scanlon set of putting Jehovah first, working with him on Kingdom Hall building projects, and seeing his love for our Creator, Jehovah. Also how his love for Jehovah was reflected in his wife and sons. Our love and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.
